KINTO KAKOMI DONABE
What is a Donabe?
It's a very simple cooker/steamer which can work on any heat source. They have been used in Japanese cooking for hundreds of years and are the primary cooking tool in the fall/winter.
How do you use it?
Adjust heat to medium or lower when using on 200V induction heater. The time it takes to boil may vary depending on the type of induction heater.
Why we love it
A Donabe is a simple tool that almost forces you to slow down and enjoy the meal. We embrace the Japanese tradition of using a Donabe on the table and eating from it as a group. The ceramic Donabe can do many of the things that a cast iron pot can do, while being much lighter.
