Middle Eastern Feast

Add some vibrant Middle Eastern dishes to your next get together. Easy to execute, with readily available ingredients, and divine to feast upon! This tasty menu is packed full of nutrient-dense veggies, fresh herbs and flavorful spices!

In this class, Chef Telnaz will introduce you to the exotic ingredients that make Middle Eastern dishes so uniquely delicious and a feast for all the senses; from aromatic fresh herbs to bright and bold flavors to the golden hue of saffron. You will practice knife skills as we prepare fresh vegetables and herbs for salad, alongside with techniques for cooking rice and chicken, making vinaigrette and more for a heavenly dessert.

We will learn the following techniques:

  • Knife cuts for vegetables
  • Making vinaigrette
  • Cooking rice and chicken
  • Working with fresh and dried herbs
  • Working with exotic flavors and spices
  • Making a versatile dessert
  • Roasted eggplant with tahini sumac sauce and pomegranates 
    • This dish will be ready for you upon arrival, and the techniques and recipe will be discussed, so that you can easily recreate it at home.
  • Middle Eastern chopped salad
    • Simple refreshing salad, made with finely chopped vegetables, fresh herbs, lemon and olive oil herb dressing. Vegan and Gluten Free!
  • Tahchin, Persian saffron rice cake
    • Miniature version of Tahchin, a traditional Persian rice cake perfumed with saffron and stuffed with chicken and garnished with vibrant barberries. This dish can be altered to be vegetarian but not vegan as it contains yogurt and eggs.
  • Rose water cardamom pudding with orange blossom date syrup
    • This quick and easy pudding is loved all over Middle East. It is flavored with rose water, cardamom, orange blossom and can be made with almond milk or soy milk to make it vegan.

*Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests that do not eat: wheat/gluten, dairy, or eggs.  We are able to accommodate vegetarian, but not vegan guests. Please let us know at the time of booking.

The Fine Print:

The standard price for any private party is $1250 (+tax) for the first 10 people and $95 (+tax) per person after that. The minimum charge for a private event is $1250 (+tax). The 3-hour event, which typically runs from 6-9pm, includes the chef, food costs, and staff. Any beverages would need to be supplied by you, for a self-service bar. If you prefer bar service (we serve you), we would need to take out a special occasion license, at an additional cost to you. Groups larger than 20 guests, will require additional rentals. Private Party Cancellation Policy:

  • A 50% deposit is required at time of booking, and is fully refundable up to 30 days before your event. The balance is due 48 hours prior to your event.
  • Half of the deposit is refundable, up to 14 days before your event. The deposit is non-refundable less than 14 days prior to your event.
  • If you need to change the date of your event you may do so once, for free, up to 14 days before your event. Any additional date changes will have a $100 charge. We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate date changes less than 14 days prior to your event.
  • Final number of guests is required 48 hours before your event (with no changes allowed following this time - if a guest is unable to attend within this period, please send somebody in their place)
