Flavors of the Persian Empire

Join Chef Megan for a simple yet exotic Persian menu. These dishes are simple enough for a weeknight; but, impressive enough for dinner guests. You will learn a tasty starter, a slow braised luscious chicken, a fluffy seasoned rice, served with a crisp salad. We will finish the evening with a Persian pudding. For those with a gluten sensitivity, or looking to reduce the gluten in their diet, this is the perfect menu for you!

  • Persian spinach dip
    • a light and healthy yogurt based dipped, full of spinach, glazed onions, and garlic – served with chewy flat bread
  •  Lima Bean Dill Rice and Chicken
    • slow braised chicken served with the centre of any good Persian meal – fluffy, seasoned rice
  • Shirazi Salad
    • a typical Persian salad composed of chopped tomato, cucumber, coated in house made olive oil, lemon juice and mint dressing
  • Persian Carrot rice pudding
    • a delicious gluten free dessert that is very delicate and light in texture and mild in sweetness. It is made from rice flour, carrot juice and saffron, garnished with pistachio and almonds. It is best with Persian tea.

*Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests that do not eat dairy. We can eliminate the chicken to create a vegetarian meal.

Middle East to Mediterranean Sea

Join Chef Megan and travel from the Middle East to the Mediterranean Sea with this tasty and healthy gluten-free menu. You won´t need to leave Victoria to experience Turkey, Lebanon, Greece, and Iran in this best of class. We will start with succulent lamb stuffed cabbage rolls, enjoy a delicately seasoned rice dish, a vibrant beet salad, and a creamy exotic rice pudding. All of these dishes are easily recreated at home.

  • Turkish Cabbage Rolls
    • stuffed with ground lamb, rice and vegetables
  • Lebanese Lentil rice
    • with caramelised onion and shrimp, garnished with walnuts and raisins
  • Vibrant Greek Beet Salad
    • cooked beets tossed with garlic, mint, and parsley
  • Persian Sholezard
    • cinnamon rice pudding infused with saffron, rose water, cardamom. Almonds are added for textural crunch and pistachios for adornment. All the very best in life, in one dessert!

*Please note this menu contains shellfish and nuts. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests that do not eat lamb, shrimp. The walnuts can easily be eliminated from the rice garnish.

The Fine Print:

The standard price for any private party is $1250 (+tax) for the first 10 people and $95 (+tax) per person after that. The minimum charge for a private event is $1250 (+tax). The 3-hour event, which typically runs from 6-9pm, includes the chef, food costs, and staff. Any beverages would need to be supplied by you, for a self-service bar. If you prefer bar service (we serve you), we would need to take out a special occasion license, at an additional cost to you. Groups larger than 20 guests, will require additional rentals. Private Party Cancellation Policy:

  • A 50% deposit is required at time of booking, and is fully refundable up to 30 days before your event. The balance is due 48 hours prior to your event.
  • Half of the deposit is refundable, up to 14 days before your event. The deposit is non-refundable less than 14 days prior to your event.
  • If you need to change the date of your event you may do so once, for free, up to 14 days before your event. Any additional date changes will have a $100 charge. We are sorry, but we cannot accommodate date changes less than 14 days prior to your event.
  • Final number of guests is required 48 hours before your event (with no changes allowed following this time - if a guest is unable to attend within this period, please send somebody in their place)
