Chef Shane Lobsinger

Born and raised in rural BC, Shane Lobsinger moved to Vancouver at the age of 17 to study at UBC. Discovering his passion for cooking and entertaining, he left school to work his way up from washing dishes to become a Red Seal Chef. Always thirsty to learn more, he then began studying wine and became a certified sommelier while completing his undergraduate degree in jazz performance. Shane Lobsinger is in his early 30’s and is currently working on his graduate degree in hospitality management and is thrilled about the opportunity to share his love of cooking great food at home for family and friends at Cook Culture. While French food is his specialty, his current love affair is with falafel and kimchi… sometimes even at the same time! In his spare time, Shane enjoys cycling and hosting glamorous dinner parties.
