Ana Arenas, aka “Ana Bella,” is a Red Seal Chef and Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.) residing in Vancouver. Food has always been a big part of her life as she has loved baking and cooking since she was 7 years old. She knew that she wanted to become a Chef at the age of 10.
In pursuit of her childhood dream to become a Chef, she went to Vancouver Community College to complete a Culinary Apprenticeship. In 2010, she graduated at the top of her class and attained her Red Seal Certification. After a decade in the culinary industry, the high stress lifestyle of working long hours, skipping meals, and sleeping late eventually took a toll on her body. She felt tired all the time, had constant migraines, frequent colds, eczema, and indigestion. With the downward spiral of her own health, she realized how much the food she consumed affected how she felt.
As a result, she became more interested in nutrition and continued her education in 2015 at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN) where she received the R.H.N. designation and graduated with honours. Upon graduating, she has started her own practice at The Bella Life Nutritional Consulting, worked closely with Chef Andrea Potter, R.H.N. for the Cooking Program at CSNN and further trained in Functional Nutrition with Dr. David Wang, ND of Pranin Organic.
Through eating a variety of clean, organic whole foods and keeping her body active, she managed to eliminate her eczema, migraines, digestive issues and sugar addiction. She believes that she first had to help herself before she could help others. With her newfound energy and zeal for life, her new life’s purpose is to make the world a happier and healthier place through educating others how to live an optimal life with a focus on food, cooking and nutrition.
