As the in-house chef you act as the full-time chef in Cook Culture’s kitchen and are responsible for ensuring that our cooking classes and private events meet our service standards, leaving a positive impression and delivering value.

Major Duties:

  • Shop, prep, and execute the cooking classes and private events
  • Develop product knowledge of items sold in the retail store and used in classes
  • Interact with class guests, encouraging hands-on opportunities and retail sales
  • Guide the volunteers throughout the evening (including prep work and cleaning)
  • Write marketable and enticing class descriptions and menus
  • Complete accurate recipe hand-outs, which are information-packed and interesting
  • Allow new chef instructors to shadow your classes
  • Develop in-house content, including recipes, weekend demonstrations of product, and recording video

 

Requirements:

  • Food Safe Level 1
  • Red Seal certification or equivalent
  • A criminal record check for working with the vulnerable sector, is required to lead kid´s and teen´s classes
  • Competency in using gmail and google drive
  • Daytime, evening, and weekend availability – Tuesday to Saturday work week
