Sushi-making at Home Cooking Class

Join our Sushi chef and learn to make your own Sushi and authentic Japanese food at home in our Sushi Cooking Class. You’ll learn the secret to perfectly seasoned sushi rice, how to choose the right fish, the right cuts and how to create 3 different styles of rolls – regular, pressed and cones. Our Sushi Cooking Class is a hands on class where you will learn the techniques you need to be successful at home.

Our hands on cooking classes are set in a large communal teaching kitchen, which is similar to a home kitchen, just bigger! You will learn shoulder to shoulder from the instructor along with the other guests. After you learn to make the meal, everyone will sit together and enjoy the meal family style. In all of our classes, other than Knife Skills, you are welcome to bring your own beverages.

Sushi-making at Home at Howe

Making Sushi at home with Chef Kimiko Suzuki was a lot of fun. We were invited to help cook and just about everyone in the class helped in some way. Kimiko has a very relaxed way about her and she has a great sense of humour. Her recipes were simple to follow and easy to make. Also she had a nice variety. The Miso soup was excellent. Thank you for such a fun class.
