One-on-One Cooking Bootcamp Cooking Class

Are you a beginner cook and don´t feel ready to join our group classes? Or, do you want to refresh your basic skills with one-on-one attention? Are you interested in a fun and intensive course to learn basic cooking techniques and recipes? Sign up for Cook Culture’s multi-day One-on-One Bootcamp with our House Chef. Consecutive cooking classes are the best way to accelerate your learning!! This bootcamp is intended for those with little to no experience in the kitchen, or a refresher for those with some experience. Our Bootcamps are meant to give you a base to build upon and expand your cooking repertoire. 

DAY 1

We will start with recipe comprehension, making a cooking plan with target times. We will then cover food safety, work area organization and preparation (mis-en-place), clean-as-you go and knife skills. Today we will learn the following techniques: blanching, roasting, sauces, stocks and a seasonal fruit crumble.

  • BROCCOLI AU BEURRE
  • QUICK HERB PAN SAUCE
  • FLAVOURFUL & QUICK CHICKEN STOCK
  • SEASONAL FRUIT CRUMBLE

DAY 2

Soup making, seasonal salad and vinaigrettes. Perfect pasta cookery, how to confit, quick sauces and delicious baked desserts and quick flatbread!

  • BEST-EVER SQUASH DIP AND WHOLE WHEAT FLATBREAD
  • CLASSIC CHICKEN SOUP
  • SAUTEED SALMON FILLET with salad green salad and classic vinaigrette
  • PESTO LINGUINE with confit cherry tomatoes, arugula and parmesan
  • CHOCOLATE CHUNK COOKIES

DAY 3 (optional)

We’ll learn, basic baking, braising, egg cookery, grilling, marinades and steaming.

  • TZATZIKI and vegetable crudites
  • BASIC BUTTERMILK MUFFINS
  • SCRAMBLED EGGS with capers, chevre and cherry tomatoes
  • GRILLED ROSEMARY BALSAMIC FLAT IRON STEAK
  • MASHED POTATOES
  • CRUNCHY BRAISED BRUSSEL SPROUTS with smoked bacon
  • HONEY GLAZED CARROTS

 

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate guests that do not eat: NUTS, EGGS, PORK, FISH, RED MEAT.

Included in the regular menu is: WHEAT/GLUTEN and DAIRY. We can accommodate, with a slightly different menu,  if you wish to eliminate these items.

 

*We can accommodate up to 3 guests, for a Small Group Bootcamp plus we have a gluten-free and dairy free version of this Bootcamp. You can take just Day 1 and 2 (6 hours total), Day 3 is optional (9 hours total). Pricing starts at $120/hour for a one-on-one Bootcamp. There will be an additional charge for additional guests. CANCELLATION POLICY: For the 3-part Cooking Bootcamps: We highly recommend that you determine your availability prior to registering. It is a consecutive series so that you can build upon the previous week and make a leap in your cooking skills. Our 48 hour cancellation policy is in effect for Day 1 of the Bootcamp, once the series begins we cannot offer a refund or credit towards another class.
