Indian Classics Cooking Class

In this Indian Cooking Class, Chef Gurjyote will show you how to make Classic Indian food. We will enjoy some tasty appetizers, learn to make the juicy tandoori chicken, creamy spinach and paneer, the perfect basmati rice and naan bread plus a sweet pudding to finish the perfect Indian meal! Chef will discuss how to get the most flavour from your spices; as well as, techniques to creating fluffy rice and naan bread. You will leave full, satiated, and ready to re-create this fantastic meal for your friends and family.

Our hands on cooking classes are set in a large communal teaching kitchen, which is similar to a home kitchen, just bigger! You will learn shoulder to shoulder from the instructor along with the other guests. After you learn to make the meal, everyone will sit together and enjoy the meal family style. In all of our classes, other than Knife Skills, you are welcome to bring your own beverages.

My husband and I were given gift certificates for a cooking class by our son as a fun activity to try. We had never been to one before and really didn’t know what to expect. We absolutely enjoyed it!! We took the Indian Classics class with Chef Gurjyote Sethi and found him to be engaging and informative, with an understated sense of humour. He was very willing to answer any questions, and gave us trade secrets of the methods he used in cooking professionally, as well as hints on making the dishes even more authentic at home. He also willingly shared recipes that were not included in the class. He kept all 16 of us active, encouraging us to try the different stations, and in under 3 hours we had all prepared a beautiful and delicious meal in a very fun environment. The support staff of volunteers were very friendly and helpful, as well as being extremely efficient in providing anything we needed. We loved the experience, and would highly recommend it to our friends and family.
