Curries Around the World Cooking Class

Join one of our Cook Culture Chefs for a Curry Cooking Class full of soul-satisfying curries. There is nothing more delicious or intensely satisfying than a flavourful curry. Whether it’s a well seasoned Indian dahl, a kick you in the butt dry rub from Jamaica, or a warm and comforting broth from Japan.  Curries let you travel around the world from the comfort of your own kitchen. So come join us for this fun to learn Curry Cooking class.

Our hands on cooking classes are set in a large communal teaching kitchen, which is similar to a home kitchen, just bigger! You will learn shoulder to shoulder from the instructor along with the other guests. After you learn to make the meal, everyone will sit together and enjoy the meal family style. In all of our classes, other than Knife Skills, you are welcome to bring your own beverages.

Note: this class can be made vegetarian (but not vegan); if we are made aware, at the time of booking.

Wonderful class that was fun and professional. Looking forward to doing more classes…should have done this decades ago. Our chef was entertaining and really knew his ‘stuff’. The only negative is that I wish I had not filled up so fast on the first two courses and left some room for the last course. Everything was innovative and delicious. It was a good way to spend the evening, eat some great food and learn something along the way. Chef, host and volunteers were terrific and helpful. The fellow guests were an interesting group to chat with. I appreciated the ability to drink our own beverages. The Indian Dhal and Jerk Chicken were amazingly good.

I recently completed curries around the world with Chef Matt and I really enjoyed it! I would recommend you bring your own Tupperware containers as the volume of food you make is quite large! Everything was delicious and curries just became a whole lot more approachable in our house!

For the foodies who want to learn more about their favorite cuisine, I recommend the cooking school – for instance, learn about how to create a curry – which is complex but a combination of all the spices and herbs that “we” use in our daily cooking. I’m personally ready for the next class!
