You’ve mastered the basic cupcake rosette and you’re ready to kick your cupcake decorating up a notch; you want to create cupcakes that will wow friends and family. Join one of our House Chefs in learning some intermediate techniques for cupcake decorating.
Learn how to make a one bowl chocolate cupcake, vegan friends, family and coworkers will surely approve, and a raspberry vanilla cupcake. Kicking things up a notch you’ll learn how to make and fill your cupcake with a rich, silky chocolate pastry cream or tangy jewel toned raspberry curd. We’ll top it all off with subtly sweet but oh so smooth and fluffy Swiss meringue buttercream.
Once you are set up with your cupcakes and frosting we’ll dive into a variety of piping and decorating techniques. You will take away the ability to confidently control a piping bag, to create a variety of patterns and decorations, and the know-how to combine them all for a cohesive and uniquely themed cupcake; as well as, bringing home your own cupcakes to share with family and friends.
Our hands on cooking classes are set in a large communal teaching kitchen, which is similar to a home kitchen, just bigger! You will learn shoulder to shoulder from the instructor along with the other guests. After you learn to make the meal, everyone will sit together and enjoy the meal family style. In all of our classes, other than Knife Skills, you are welcome to bring your own beverages.
