Christmas Taco Party

We Love making Tacos: at home, at work, in class. Anywhere and any time, because of how simple and tasty they are. Anyone can learn to make a Taco and no 2 tacos need to be the same!

We went about testing some of our Taco gear and came up with a few recipes that you may like. Enjoy!

Tortillas:
  • 1 cup masa harina
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 pinch salt
Mix and rest for 1h. Form into balls the size of ‘Timbits’, and press between layers of parchment paper in a tortilla press. (TIP:Using the Tortilla press: Don’t press too hard, press once, open, ¼  turn, press again, open, ¼ turn, press again, done. Perfect thickness)

Toast both sides on a dry griddle or cast iron pan until the edges start to curl up a bit.  Stack grilled tortillas atop each other in a clay tortilla warmer so they will continue to steam themselves as they rest, becoming softer and more pliable. Rest for 10 minutes or more before eating.

Roasted Cauliflower:
  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 1 tbsp grapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp turmeric
  •  pinch salt
Break down cauliflower into florets. In medium sized mixing bowl, toss in grapeseed oil and salt while sprinkling with turmeric until fully coated. Spread onto thin layer on USA Pan and roast in preheated 400F oven until golden brown.

Cumin Roasted Potato:
  • 1 potatoe, washed, unpeeled, diced in cm cubes
  • 2 tbsp grapeseed oil
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • pinch salt, to taste
